Are you a non profit organization?

Yes. We are incorporated under the Society Act in the province of Alberta.

Who is Vic Juba?

Vic is a dedicated individual with many non-profit organizations in our community. When a group of individuals approached Mayor and Council about naming the venue in his honour, they agreed without hesitation. Vic is a regular patron at events in our venue.

How many seats are there in the Theatre?

We have 550 seats.

How much did it cost to build the Theatre?

Approximately $4 million. Our name is "Vic Juba Community Theatre". The 3rd word is "Community". Mayor and Council specifically wanted the word "Community" added to the name of our venue to recognize that our community raised over half the funds to build our venue.

Are you affliated with Lakeland College?

No. We are located on campus but we are a completely separate organization.

A Note About Seating

Doors open 30 minutes prior to the performance start time. We encourage you to arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the performance. We endeavor to minimize the inconvenience to our patrons and the artists on stage when seating latecomers. If you arrive late for a performance, you will be seated at the first appropriate moment in open seats at the back. You are welcome to move to your assigned seat at intermission. If the show is sold out and there are no open seats at the back, latecomers will be seated at the discretion of theatre staff.
